Emery Major may have moved to Brooklyn, but you can still feel his high-altitude roots in everything he does. Born-and-raised in Colorado, Emery Major is an independent singer-songwriter who combines the folk melodies of his youth with modern pop to create music that's just plain fun. The self-described “funny guy” cites his songwriting inspiration as James Taylor, John Denver, Ed Sheeran, and Flight of the Conchords. He’s performed at venues across Brooklyn and NYC, including a sold-out show celebrating the release of his debut EP “It’s okay to be sad”. You can catch him making his east coast Folk Festival Circuit debut at CT Folk Festival in New Haven, CT this September 10th and 11th.
